Coke Bust, Bloodtype, Sick Fix:
On July 2nd me, Matt and Ryan went down to New Brunswick to catch Coke Bust's tour kick off. It was at this guy Rich NJ's new house, I think. Side note, Rich NJ is in Stressed Out who just released a split with my good friends Rip It Up go buy it and catch them on tour. Okay, back to the show. Bloodtype was the first band to play, this was their second show. My good friend George plays guitar for them, and they fucking ripped. Fast pissed off straight edge hardcore. The demo rules. These guys are gunna get big. They also covered Cro-Mags which is always fun. Sick Fix, a girl fronted band were rad. Reminded me of His Hero is Gone a little, ehh. They covered Project X. Coke Bust fucking killed it. They were really loud and tight. Great drumming. Over all a good show. Saw a lot of friends.
Tragedy,Mourne,Blacklisted,Brain Handle, Brain Killer:
I was lucky enough to get to see Tragedy, one the best HC punk band and one of my favorite bands, play with Blacklisted another favorite of mine. The show started off with Brain Killer who played a good set. The punk were diggin' it, They were pretty good, bought a 7 inch. Brain Handle was after them and they sucked balls. The singer had no stage presence and was extremely awkward. Blacklisted was after Brain Handle , and BL nailed it. They played a good long set of old an new songs. George was moshing around on stage and doing some weird dances. Amazing set, amazing band, can not wait for the new record. Mourne was after Blacklisted. Didn't catch most of their set. But from what I did they were really good, but were really boring. They're epic crust I guess? They were whatever. I was just excited to see the next band.....TRAGEDY! Watching them set up I had the biggest smile on my face. I was hoping, praying that they would open up with " Conflicting Ideas" but they didn't. Loudest set I've heard. Also best, and tightest. They played with such ferocity. Not speaking in between songs, lead singer and guitar player Todd Burdette, only spoke to say the names of each song. After their set the audience roared for an encore. Yet, being the punks they are Tragedy didn't give us one.
I'll do the Punch reviews later. Sorry for any spelling errors and shit running on no sleep and one cup of coffee.
Any ways I'm gunna be putting up some good NJxHC soon. Keep your eye's peeled! Ifyou have any requests lemme know!
